Green Mountains of Vermont Luxury Small Resort

A Rich History at our Green Mountains Bed and Breakfast

The Inn is a circa 1806 post and beam farmhouse with wide board floors converted to an inn in the early 1930’s.

Michael and Carol acquired Tip Top Inn in 1970 transforming it into an elegant, casual resort. They have added five new buildings including the Wedding Barn, a swimming pool and pool house, woodland trails, tennis court, bocce court. A comprehensive renovation of the main house has created a luxurious and relaxed setting while incorporating modern amenities and emergency generators.

Prior to devoting himself to the Inn, Michael was chairman of the Board of the Hotel Okura in Guam for 20 years and President of numerous real estate companies. He headed Coventry Development for 30 years, substantial projects in Houston, Texas, Denver, Colorado, Guam and New York City. Michael received a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University followed by a Master’s Degree from Yale University. He also earned the rank of captain in the U.S. Army.
